Blackout Poetry

Hello, readers!

I'm Ms. Shanna, the teacher who set up shop in Room 102 a couple of years ago. Thank you for visiting! Here you will find the ramblings and experiments of these wonderful writers---my students. For our first showcase, here is one of my favorite pastimes: blackout poetry. 

All you need is a newspaper and some permanent black markers to do this exercise.  

The first two are models that I made to show the writers, and the rest is student work. Enjoy!
